Full List of Projects for FY 2026
BOSTON, MA – Democratic Whip Katherine Clark (MA-5) joined Senators Edward J. Markey (D-Mass.) and Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), and Representatives Richard Neal (MA-1), Jim McGovern (MA-2), Lori Trahan (MA-3), Jake Auchincloss (MA-4), Seth Moulton (MA-6), Ayanna Pressley (MA-7), Stephen Lynch (MA-8), and Bill Keating (MA-9) today announced Massachusetts will receive an additional $124.58 million in Congressionally Directed Spending (CDS) for 116 community projects throughout the Bay State. This is in addition to funding already secured by the delegation in previously passed FY 2026 legislation, bringing the total to $221,551,060 million for 209 local projects. The most recent projects funded through the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2026 (P.L. 119-75) focus on areas relating to transportation, infrastructure, housing, health, education, and small business development throughout Bay State communities.
“I'm thankful for the steadfast advocacy and partnership of our state and local leaders who made these critical investments in our Commonwealth's infrastructure and climate resiliency possible. I look forward to continuing our work to bring home federal dollars that improve the lives of working families across Massachusetts,” said Whip Clark.
“The Massachusetts delegation secured over $200 million for hundreds of local projects across the Bay State. I am proud to have worked with my colleagues to secure funding to construct affordable and supportive housing, expand early education programs, and buy new equipment to expand patient access to care. With so much federal funding under threat, direct funding to our communities is critical,” said Senator Markey.
“It’s a no-brainer that we’d fight hard to invest in our people. From supporting our schools and healthcare system, to helping people get back on their feet, to providing affordable housing and making community buildings more accessible for people with disabilities, I will always fight hard to make government work for Massachusetts residents,” said Senator Warren.
“I’m proud that our delegation secured over $200 million in Congressionally Directed Spending for 209 community projects across the Commonwealth,” said Ranking Member McGovern. “From Worcester Polytechnic Institute’s efforts to remove toxic PFAS chemicals from our communities, to upgrades at the Shea Theater Arts Center in Montague, to wastewater and drinking-water improvements in towns like Holliston and Leicester—this funding is about making life better for everyone. It also includes critical resources to combat hunger and expand access to affordable housing and wraparound services in communities across my district. These are meaningful investments that make Massachusetts healthier, safer, and stronger.”
“Families across our district deserve safe roads, dependable infrastructure, and real opportunities to build a better life for themselves and their children,” said Congresswoman Trahan. “This funding will make everyday life better for residents in communities large and small by improving safety, strengthening local infrastructure, and creating pathways to economic opportunity. My team and I remain focused on cutting through the noise in Washington to deliver results like these investments that will make a tangible difference across the Third District.”
“These investments are a product of close collaboration with local leaders who know exactly where their needs are. Turning community priorities into federal action is one of our core responsibilities here in Congress, and I’m glad we can deliver $3.6 million for our North Shore communities to build Emergency Operations Centers for our first responders, science labs for our first-generation college students, heating systems for our public schools, and innovative multi-use transportation development projects. I look forward to celebrating the release of this funding and the jobs it will bring to our communities,” said Rep. Moulton.
“Securing federal funding for these projects is essential to build a Massachusetts 7th that reflects the needs and dreams of the people,” said Rep. Pressley. “With the input and efforts of our incredible partners at the federal, state, and local levels, I’m proud to announce critical investments to support and strengthen our small businesses, health and climate infrastructure, housing accessibility, education, the arts, and more. These dollars will be put towards ensuring a more safe, healthy, and equitable home that our communities deserve.”
“The 9th Congressional District received almost $10 million in federal funding for critical projects throughout the district. These include infrastructure innovation, support to education and child services institutions, enhanced environmental research initiatives, and veterans housing. My colleagues in the Senate and I worked with our local communities to identify needs and now we are seeing the fruits of that collaboration,” said Rep. Keating.
