Democrats in the U.S. House, prepping for another two years in the minority under the incoming Trump administration, reelected the top members of their leadership on Tuesday.

U.S. Rep. Katherine Clark, D-5th District, the Democrats' whip, the No. 2 leadership position, was reelected by acclamation, Axios reported.

In a post to BlueSky Social, the X alternative where Clark recently moved, the North Shore lawmaker said she was “humbled and grateful for the opportunity to continue serving as the House Democratic Whip.”

“Let’s get to work for working families,” Clark wrote.

U.S. Rep. Lori Trahan, D-3rd District, also was reelected as co-chair of the Democratic Policy and Communications Committee, her office said in a statement.

“I’m grateful to colleagues for their support to continue serving as co-chair of the House Democratic Policy and Communications Committee,” Trahan said in a statement. “Together, we will work to rebuild trust with working families, defend our values, and position House Democrats to retake the House in 2026.”

In addition to her leadership position, she also serves as a senior whip under Clark and is a member of the Democratic Steering and Policy Committee.

The chamber’s Democrats made few changes to their leadership team, according to Axios. Current House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., was unanimously reelected, the online news organization reported.

Clark’s reelection sets the stage for the Bay State’s continued clout on Capitol Hill during Republican Trump’s second term.

U.S. Rep. Richard Neal, D-1st District, currently serves as the ranking Democrat on the powerful House Ways & Means Committee, which controls the budgetary purse strings.

He is expected to retain that post, according to published reports.
