Massachusetts Rep. Katherine Clark, the minority whip and a leading Democrat on Capitol Hill, spoke with WCVB’s “On the Record” about the Epstein files and Democratic strategies for future elections.
Clark, who has represented Massachusetts' 5th district since 2013, answered questions about the House Oversight Committee's bipartisan vote demanding the release of the Epstein files amid national controversy and conspiracy theories. The Wall Street Journal reported that Attorney General Pam Bondi and her deputy informed President Donald Trump months ago that his name appeared multiple times in the Epstein files. However, appearing in the files is not indicative of wrongdoing.
The White House has downplayed the significance of this information, but questions remain about its potential impact.
Clark also addressed the Democratic Party's efforts to regroup after significant losses in the last November elections. She discussed strategies to win back the trust of the American people and attract more working-class voters.
