WASHINGTON, D.C. – Democratic Whip Katherine Clark (MA-5) issued the following statement on the second quarter GDP report:

“It’s another week of good news for workers, businesses, and families. Our economic growth exceeded expectations and core inflation fell to its lowest quarterly rate in two years. For everyday Americans, this means more money in their pockets and more financial security for their families. This report comes on the heels of leading economists directly crediting Bidenomics for ‘much stronger’ growth than anticipated.

“These results are no accident. Democrats invested in America, created good, green union jobs, and lowered costs. We supported working families instead of rewarding the wealthy and well-connected. The data speaks for itself: we’re growing the economy and growing the middle class.”
