The office of Congresswoman Katherine Clark seeks a Digital Manager & Press Assistant to join the Washington, D.C. team. The applicant will be responsible for developing a comprehensive digital media program to be implemented across the Congresswoman’s social media platforms. Candidates should have experience drafting creative and timely copy, engaging followers, and growing social media reach.
The applicant will also be responsible for supervising a team of interns and staff to process constituent mail; composing, editing, and sending constituent letters; managing a proactive franked mail program, as well as maintaining an up to date website.
Ideal candidates will be excellent writers, detail-oriented, organized, creative, motivated, must have the ability to generate original content consistent with the Congresswoman’s priorities,and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with graphic design and video development preferred.
This is not an entry-level position. Successful candidates will need to demonstrate their writing ability by completing an in person writing and editing test. Previous Hill experience and Massachusetts ties are a plus but not required. Diverse candidates, women, and LGBTQ persons are strongly encouraged to apply.
