Service Academy Nominations

Please email all nomination materials to ClarkNominations@mail.house.gov

Thank you for your interest in the U.S. Service Academies. Each year I have the privilege of nominating a limited number of applicants to the U.S. Air Force Academy, U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, U.S. Military Academy at West Point, and the U.S. Naval Academy. The honor of attending a service academy comes with an obligation and commitment to serve in the military for a minimum of five years upon graduation. To be considered for a nomination from my office, you must submit the personal data form below, and send the following materials to my Malden office by October 31:

  • 3 Letters of Recommendation
  • Resume or List of Activities/Achievements
  • All Official Academic Transcripts (High School & College)
  • Official SAT and/or ACT Scores (SAT code: 7901, ACT code: 7457) *OPTIONAL*
  • An essay of at least 250 words detailing why you want to attend an academy
Please be advised that in addition to applying for a nomination, you must also apply directly to the academy or academies you wish to attend. A nomination does not guarantee an appointment to an academy, but one is required in order to be considered for admission. Additionally, you must be a U.S. citizen to attend a Service Academy.

If you have any questions about the nomination process, please contact my Service Academy Coordinator at: ClarkNominations@mail.house.gov.

Nomination to your top choice is not guaranteed, nor is any nomination. The more Academies you apply for, the more likely you are to get a nomination to one of them.
