NATICK, MA — Today, Democratic Whip Katherine Clark (MA-5) joined community leaders in the MetroWest to commemorate Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and reflect on the legacy of Dr. King’s work to end bigotry and injustice in America.

“Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. dreamed of an America for all Americans. Of a nation unrestrained by hate, where every person can lead a life of dignity,” said Democratic Whip Katherine Clark. “I am proud to join with neighbors across the MetroWest to reflect on Dr. King’s incomparable legacy. Today, we recommit to continuing Dr. King’s noble pursuit — condemning bigotry, demanding justice, and securing freedom for all our children.”

Whip Clark joined community leaders and congregants at the Greater Framingham Community Church’s 37th Annual MLK Memorial Celebration to honor Dr. King’s vision of a “beloved community.” Later, Whip Clark joined local leaders for the City of Natick’s 19th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Celebration to recognize Dr. King’s legacy with performances by student groups, faith-based organizations, and community partners.
